Just last week, I had the exciting opportunity to personally tour Virgin Voyages’ Brilliant Lady, the newest ship making waves with its innovative culinary experiences and elegant, adult-only atmosphere. Walking through its sleek interiors and sampling dishes from several onboard eateries, I was struck by how thoughtfully the ship is designed for travelers who value fresh, local ingredients and a casual almost yacht like experience.

For dinner, I savored tender lamb chops and a delicate Hamachi crudo served with hibiscus sauce, bursting with flavor. The Wave Steakhouse offers a unique entrance experience, with an elegant, curved staircase descending from the 7th floor to the 6th, where you can watch the ship’s wake while enjoying your meal—a perfect blend of ambiance and taste.

During my visit, I enjoyed a casual lunch in The Gallery, a vibrant spot that replaces the traditional buffet, offering everything from ramen noodles and sushi, to burgers, pressed sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. I chose sushi — fresh and satisfying — while my partner paired his sushi with some of the most delicious, crispy French fries I’ve ever tasted. We also stopped at Above the Grounds Two for shots of hot, flavorful espresso – a perfect pick-me-up.
